1. Who we are
The Rainmaker BI Connector (“the Connector”) is a private, internal software tool operated by 3WI Pty Ltd to consolidate management-reporting data for the Rainmaker group of companies. It is not offered to, or used by, the general public.
2. What the Connector accesses
With the account owner’s authorisation, the Connector reads financial and accounting data from QuickBooks Online companies owned or controlled by the Rainmaker group, including profit & loss and balance sheet figures, transactions, chart of accounts, and company profile information. The Connector is read-only — it does not create, edit, or delete data in QuickBooks Online.
3. What we do with it
Data is used solely for internal management reporting and business intelligence for the Rainmaker group. It is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own purposes.
4. How data is stored and secured
The Connector runs locally on a secured company device; it is not a public cloud service. Authentication credentials are stored in a local, access-restricted file and never embedded in code or exposed in browsers. Access tokens are short-lived and refreshed only when they expire. Access is limited to authorised Rainmaker group personnel.
5. Data sharing
We do not share QuickBooks-sourced data with parties outside the Rainmaker group. Internal reporting tools used by the group (e.g. Smartsheet, Power BI, SharePoint) may display derived figures to authorised group personnel only.
6. Data retention
Source data is retained only as long as needed for management reporting. Authorisation can be revoked at any time by disconnecting the Connector in QuickBooks Online, after which it can no longer access the data.
7. Your rights
As all connected companies are owned or controlled by the Rainmaker group, requests regarding data access, correction, or deletion can be directed to support@rainmkr.co.za.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change accordingly.
